Hannover City can be easily reached by plane, train and car. From Poland and Berlin busses are available, too.

Hannover Airport provides direct flights to all major hub airports in Europe from where all European and overseas destinations can be reached. Directs flights are from Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London, Milan, Moscow, Munich, Paris, Prague, Rome, Tallinn, Vienna, Zurich. The airports of Hamburg, Bremen and Berlin can be reached within around 1.5 to 2.0 hours by train. Some airlines offer Rail and Fly packages from-and-to Frankfurt and/or Münich airport, too (around 2.5 hours by train). Hannover Airport is well connected with Hannover central station (local train every 30 mins).

Hannover main station is part of the European railway system and located at the intersection of the big east to west (Moscow-Warsaw-Berlin-Hannover-Cologne-Brussels-Paris and to Amsterdam) and north to south (Stockholm-Copenhagen-Hamburg-Hannover-Frankfurt-Basel or via Würzburg to Munich and Vienna; with connections to south and south-east Europe). Most services are every hour or every two hours with high-speed trains (ICE).

Similar to the railway system Hannover is well integrated in European motorway network (A2 from Warsaw to Amsterdam and via Cologne to Brussels and A7 from Denmark via Hamburg to Basel and Munich).

Hannover Medical School campus can be reached by public transportation very easily. From city centre a direct underground/tramway is available (services every 10 mins, duration around 20 mins) from main station you will need to change the train one time (connection at same platform).

Banks, Credit Cards, Currency Exchange
Banking hours depend on the bank. ATMs are located in public areas which are connected with different German bank branches (e.g. Sparkasse, Postbank, Volksbank) and accept a variety of international credit cards.

The national currency in Germany is the Euro (€). For on-site currency exchange, please ask your hotel for further information.

Insurance and Liability
The congress organizer will not accept liability for personal injury, loss of or damage to belongings of congress participants, either during or as a result of the congress. Please check the validity of your own insurance. Participants are recommended to arrange for their personal and health insurance.

The official congress language is English.

It is forbidden to smoke in any part of the venue. German public areas are generally non smoking areas. Smoking areas are always indicated by sings.
